Student of the Year
What is the Student of the Year title?
Every month, SPH staff choose one student who is especially standing out to them. This could be a positive attitude in lessons, volunteering at events, recent progress, or even impressive show victories! That student is recognized as student of the month!
At the end of each year, we take all 12 of the students of the month from throughout the whole year and vote on who we think should represent that year as the official SPH Student of the year.
In December of 2025, you voted, and the results were overwhelming!
We would like to congratulate
KYLIE LOCKE
and recognize her as our Student of the Year representing 2025!
Kylie Locke is an exceptional member of our barn family. She always comes to lessons with a smile and a bag of carrots (which of course the horses love!)
Kylie is most definitely a rider to look up to! Her equitation is stunning, and she is a very fast learner. Kylie is a rider who, no matter how much she learns, she never lets it get to her head, and remains forever humble; a trait we as trainers are so grateful for
This young lady is always the first to volunteer at shows, camps, and parties. We can always count on her to pitch in if we ever need an extra set of hands.
Kylie’s favorite horse here at SPH is Jazz! Jazz, one of our higher strung horses only our higher level riders ride, is Kylie’s favorite because “she’s so sweet and even though she gets so excited she still feels so safe and ‘homey'”
