Why Us

Why Should You become a part of SPH?

– Our Unbeatable Culture!

Here at SPH, we pride ourselves on our culture! We strive to NEVER become the stereotypical snobby English barn we all have heard of or experienced. We are very selective on the people who join our barn family whether they be staff, students, or parents. If we sense imminent drama, you will not be riding or boarding here!

If you are looking for a barn with a good vibe, supportive peers, and positive trainers, look no further!

– Our Amazing Staff!

Our staff are the backbone of our barn! When it comes to finding the perfect trainers, instructors, and barn hands, reliability, personality, and character are some of the main determining factors in building our perfect team!

Our instructors have decades of experience in the Hunter/Jumper world and all have previously developed their own horses!

We don’t believe that learning to ride should entail being screamed at! This isn’t military boot camp! Here at SPH, we have a more positive method of teaching with your enjoyment, safety, and learning are the most important things to us.

Our Amazing School Horses!

Here at SPH, we choose our school horses carefully!  Because our student base is so diverse, we do our best to ensure we have horses to suit all levels of riders! With safety a number one priority, we are very choosy on the horses we bring home.

Our horses aren’t just school horses. We ensure when horses join our program they come with show miles, or the potential to show! We offer our riders the opportunity to compete with our horses when riders are capable & prepared for the show ring!

The SPH herd is a group of true schoolmasters. We are beyond proud of the horses we have and hope you too can learn to love them as much as we do!

– Our Standard of Care

Our standard of care is one thing that sets us apart from many other lesson barns and boarding facilities. We believe our horses deserve the highest levels of care. We also believe strongly in the cleanliness and maintainence of our amenities, and the value of first impressions.

When you come to our facility, you may notice raked aisles, dragged riding areas, swept stall mats, low fly count, bedded stalls, and horses who are kept at a healthy weight. We understand that in this industry, a good reputation is one of the most important things you can have, and we do our absolute best to keep our reputation spotless!
